Born in Indonesia, Marisa Tania lives in San Francisco, California. She is currently enrolled in Academy of Art University as a fashion journalism student. Her dream is to work for a well-known magazine company one day.
Marisa always had an intrinsic interest in fashion from an early age. She utilized creative artistic work as a way of communicating her thought process. Her work explores the issues of possibilities, reality and fantasy of fashion.
By intersecting her previous education in fashion design with journalism, her writing practice explores the true story of social situations. Her stories prove that fashion is not just about clothes but also other aspects of life. Marisa’s works depict her curiosity about exploring unfamiliar environments, roaming alone on adventurous journeys.
